As is depicted in thepicture, when a man sees stones rolling down the hill, he quicklyruns to a safe placeunder a huge rock, feeling lucky because he had a narrow escape.However, he fails to noticethat another greater danger awaits him: The huge rock is about tofall down from above. He ismost probably hit to death this time. It goes without saying thatthe drawing conveys a messageto us that hidden danger is the greatestdanger.
There are many examples in our real life. You may have heard ofthe miserable stories about people being killed by carbon monoxide in warm closedrooms. In the chilly winter, some people like to use a stove to warm the atmosphere inthe closed rooms. They may take some precautionsgainst the house being caught fire,but they seldom think of the possibility that the burningstove will give out a greatamount of carbon monoxide which will suffocate them todeath.
Evidently, such dangers come from neglect. Obvious dangers areeasy to be noticed, but hidden dangers are normally unperceivable. Therefore, we shouldkeep alert on those hidden dangers at any time, especially when we are in a safe positionor when have achieved success.
