對劃線部分進(jìn)行提問,即針對句子中的某一成分提出問題。
實質(zhì)上是把一個陳述句變成一個特殊疑問句的過程。
初學(xué)者,可利用“四步法”進(jìn)行訓(xùn)練。
一對劃線部分進(jìn)行提問分四步:
第一步,找出特殊詞,代替劃線部分。
(what when how where who which whose等)
第二步,把原句變成一般疑問句
(劃線部分是主語或主語的定語除外)。
第三步,特殊詞加上一般疑問句,劃線部分省略。
第四步,歸納分析,寫出正確答案。

二常見的對劃線部分進(jìn)行提問的題型
1對主語提問
對主語提問時,只需找出一個恰當(dāng)?shù)囊蓡栐~代替劃線部分;
句子的語序不變。
(1)主語是人,用who代替。

(2)賓語是人,對人進(jìn)行提問用who(主格)或whom(賓格)。
例:He likes Li Ping .(Li Ping 劃線)
(1)找出who 或whon 代替Li Ping。

(3) 主句中的謂語動詞是know tell askremember 等一類詞時,
對賓語從句中的某一部分劃線提問,先把主句改為一般疑問句,
再加上就劃線部分提問的賓語從句。

(4)主句中的謂語動詞是think sayguess suppose等一類詞時,
對賓語從句中的某一部分劃線提問,先把主句改為一般疑
問句,然后把疑問詞提到句首。

例2 Ithink we’ll have an English exam tomorrow .

如果對介詞的賓語提問,要把介詞與疑問詞一起放到句首,
若是固定結(jié)構(gòu)的介詞,則不提前。

五對定語提問
一對主語的定語進(jìn)行提問。
對主語提問時,只需找出一個恰當(dāng)?shù)囊蓡栐~代替劃線部分;
句子的語序不變。構(gòu)成:特殊詞+被修飾詞+照抄其它部分。
1對某人的進(jìn)行提問用whose。
例1 My book is on the desk .(My劃線)

2 對定語提問(不是某人的)用which或what 。
例 The red car is mine .( red 劃線)

3 對可數(shù)名詞的數(shù)量進(jìn)行提問用howmany。

4 對不可數(shù)名詞的數(shù)量進(jìn)行提問,用howmuch。

5劃線部分是介詞短語作后置定語時,要用which提問。

1對某人的進(jìn)行提問用whose。

說明:
whose做定語,修飾可數(shù)名詞book,
因此,whose book和how much water 一樣,不能分開。
2 對定語提問(不是某人的)用which或what。
例 He hasa black bike .(black劃線)

3 對可數(shù)名詞的數(shù)量進(jìn)行提問用howmany。
例 I havetwo books .(two 劃線)

說明:
how many修飾book,在句中做定語,因此不能分開。
4 對不可數(shù)名詞的數(shù)量進(jìn)行提問,用howmuch。
