temporary、transient

這兩個(gè)詞都有“短暫的”、“臨時(shí)的”的意思，

temporary “暫時(shí)的”、“臨時(shí)的”， 是permanent 的反義詞。

1）I’m not quite acquainted with the procedure, because I’m only atemporary

substitute for Miss Green in her absence.

我不太熟悉的程序，因?yàn)槲抑皇窃诟窳中〗闳毕瘯r(shí)臨時(shí)代替她的。

5）He writhed at the memory, revolted with himself for thattemporary weakness.

他一想起來(lái)就痛悔不已, 只恨自己當(dāng)一時(shí)糊涂。

transient“短暫的”、“轉(zhuǎn)瞬即逝的”，指停留或延續(xù)的時(shí)間很短促。
